The Antelope Valley District of the Boy Scouts of America presents

The 2009 Antelope Valley William J. "Pete" Knight American Heroes Dinner

Date:

Wednesday July 8, 2009

Time:

6:30 p.m.

Location:

Larry Chimbole Cultural Center, 38350 Sierra Hwy, Palmdale, CA 93550

The purpose of this dinner is to recognize community leaders in business, industry, and government, who live their personal and business lives with character as illustrated through the Western Los Angeles County Council’s vision: A world in which people make ethical and moral choices over their lifetime.

It is also to recognize youth who have exemplified the Scout Oath and Law in their daily lives, communicate Scouting’s Vision and Scouting’s Mission to a wide audience of community and business leaders, and enhance the public image of Boy Scouts of America.

In addition, it is to raise needed financial resources to benefit the youth of the Western Los Angeles County Council, Boy Scouts of America, which will directly benefit the scouting in the Antelope Valley District.

Proceeds from the Antelope Valley American Heroes Dinner will help underwrite the Scouting program administered by the Western Los Angeles County Council, Boy Scouts of America in the Antelope Valley. This would enable youth to build character, train in the responsibilities of participating citizenship, and to develop personal fitness.
