Boy Scouts of America now has new updated adult and youth applications.

The adult applications have an additional form called a disclosure/authorization form, requiring the adult applicant signature. This form gives greater details about the background checks being performed and will be required on all adult applications being turned in, beginning immediately.
The youth applications now include a ScoutParent commitment in the parent/guardian section of the youth application. For an adult making the commitment to be a ScoutParent on the youth application there is no-fee. For an adult registering as a ScoutParent Unit Coordinators, they will be required to fill out an adult application pay the registration fee and will go through a background check as authorized with the disclosure/authorization form.
