This is a community event showcasing youth organizations and providing resources to families in the Antelope Valley. We will have an information booth, along with our outreach derby track for some hands-on fun! We would like to have Scout and Scouter representatives from different units to help staff our table and help young visitors race cars down the derby track! This is a great way to meet families of youth in the Westside School District. (NOTE: We know that Pack/Troop 86 will also have an information table there, so we hope that folks will see that Scouting is definitely active in the AV!!).
Our goal is to let folks know about the Scouting program and how it benefits our youth and our community! These events are an excellent way to interact with a LOT of potential Scouting families at events that attract people from all over our valley! For many, this is their first introduction to Scouting. We have been given the opportunity to participate without cost, so we want to make the most of this time. Please join us for a few hours and help spread the word about Scouting and your unit. It is a win-win!
